* Keep things on track to complete the filming in 10 minutes
* Make final decisions on scene set up
* Make sure no one has gum in their mouth
* Communicate with the Video Editor after the shoot about which videos are good and which ones are mistakes
* Train the next weeks Manager to do the same
Mr. Dial will come to you about any issues with the announcements so manage well.

Subject: Anchors (Announcement Readers)
Your job is to be familiar enough the the announcement that you are reading to be able to give the information without reading it (if possible) If you are going to read it, then have the paper off camera so that you can look toward the camera while reading it. Remember to "sell" your announcement NO GUM ALLOWED NO GOOFING ALLOWED Make it sound like the most important announcement of them all.
Also remember to wait 3 seconds after the camera starts recording to begin talking. Thanks

Subject: Sports Cast
There are some teachers who like a little more to their announcements. We can do a sports cast to report on the events of the week. Current Days of reporting would be Tuesday (to cover Monday's games) and Friday (to cover Thursday's games.)
Job would be:
Get scores from coaches and report on the game. The entire video report must be no more than 1 minute long. See Mr. Dial for more details.

This is a segment that will show on the announcements for teachers who want a little more. It will also show up on Panther Broadcasting Network. No filming is involved with this one at this time. You would use Audacity to record the forcast, then use the audio with graphics of the forcast. See Mr. Dial for more information.

Subject: ANNOUNCEMENT EDITOR
Your job is to edit the announcements. Work with the Manager to find out which scenes to use. Train the next weeks editor toward the end of the week.
Remember to copy the files from the camera to the U drive in the KPJH folder, and Raw Folder. To get the images off the camera, plug camera in to computer. then:
open files
click on DCIM
click on the only folder in there
select the detailed view from your window
Highlight the videos that were created today
Right click on them
Copy
then go to the Raw folder in the KPJH folder on the U drive
Paste
Wait until finished, then turn camera off, take out battery and charge it, put camera and cord in the drawer. Then begin editing.
After editing movie, Save the Movie to computer in the U drive and KPJH folder. Name the file today's date in the following format

If you have a new video ready to post, reply to this comment and leg me know what the name of the movie file is.
Things to remember:
1. Your movie needs be saved as a movie and not a project
2. You need to post your video on the u drive in the kpjh folder. Projects should never be saved on the u drive, only the movie files.
3. Once you have replied to this post, Mr. Dial will get your movie file and post it on the web providing that it is school appropriate. Afterwards, Mr. Dial will delete them from the u drive.
